Love the idea of a basing contest and I enjoyed doing an extra effort on a base!
Never done this before, but now you guys made a ball rolling here in my hobby-camp! Thanks! I've already won on experience and basing-mood now, so thanks already for organising such a contest!!

Day off tomorrow, so I might give this a bash. I've never been especially creative with bases, so this might be just the ticket. Either that, or seeing the winners will be inspiring.

I definitely want to see the winning bases and also some runners up, in fact I'd like to see as many of the bases that were entered as possible. :D :rofl:

Bahh, here's mine, although it didn't win anything :)
...its my first base that isn't just sand and grass, so I wasn't expecting anything anyways :-D

That's why I actually changed my mind about the forrest in a box Hallpers :)
All the small parts together formed the bushes... with the addition of some small flock ;)

Thanks mate :)

I started with plastic 'kitchen' foil, a small stroke glued with superglue on to of the rock (1 stroke on each side) and pinnend them through a small hole in the base... Used a fair amount of superglue which gave it a "wild water" (white but transparent) tint.
Then I covered all with "BUSCH Modellwasser Aqua" (1-compound-water-gel) which is great to create little waves aswell.
I had to use several (4 layers) though, leaving about 12 hours between every one of them to let it cure completely...

Great stuff, but I have no idea if it will still look like this after a year, or if the waterfall will have turned yellow'ish (since that happens to a lot of that stuff...)
