Like I said; supermodel.

You know, when all the photos of the dwarves are released we should ask the community to rate them all based on their looks. So far Gloin and Oin are the ones that really fit the bill on what a dwarf should look like or how people think of dwarves in general.

And the one thing I do hate about seeing all these pictures is that if I ever want future miniatures of these guys, I have to get them in Finecost.

Seems we're being provided with a constant flow of new images now. Can't wait to see what comes next :)

You know that they're saving the best for last... The Almighty Thorin. Hopefully they'll show a pic of Dain Ironfoot as well, even though he's not part of the companions.

It's Hammer Time! Glad to see that Santa made it into the company.

So far the Dwarves I like in appearance: Gloin> Dwalin> Balin> Oin> Dori> Fili> Nori> Bombur> Bofur> Kili> Bifur> Ori

Thorin has to be, better be the ultimate badass looking dwarf.

Nice to see Balin being a very traditional looking dwarf. I also really like how they all have so much character rather than the identical dwarves seen at the council of elrond.

Is it just me who thinks wtf? They look so very wrong, particularly Bombur. The only 2 that I think look remotely Dwarvish are Oin and Gloin. The rest look odd. Tolkien was explicit in saying that the Dwarves were not armed in the manner that these are and, if it represents BotFA Dwarves thats fine...if not then he has missed the point entirely. I just think that they wouldnt look out of place in a cheesey tv movie fantasy

I completely agree. These are dwarf ninjas, not grumpy lords of iron and stone timid of spiders. We don't know what the script has in it, but with poses like that I'm sure they will be taking names and kicking @$$ all the way to the Lonely Mountain. Sad.

He does look badass, but is his beard too short for an elderly dwarf. Thorin aged well.

i agree, thorins beard is too short. Its almost as short as Fili and Kili, but they have the excuse of being young but im sure richard armitage's acting will make up greatly for it. Ocrist looks fantastic with a great resemblance to sting.

By the way did anyone else notice the chunk of axe sticking out of Bifurs (dwarf on the far right) forehead? There must be an amusing tale behind that one.

I imagined all the dwarves to be more or less like Gloin... I think they went the wrong way with nearly every other dwarf.
I mean so Kili and Thorin have beards like those, but dwarf women have beards too? Thorin looks like a great character, but he needs ALOT of aging. I imagined every dwarf to resemble the GW Balin figure in some way, only less rich.

I trust PJ on this one, as he did a great job on LOTR, but if it were any other director I'd be shooting him right now. ;)
