So its here! Whats inside then...

There is a "gift guide" attached, and on the back page we have a photo of Bilbo, Gandalf and the Company, a little blurb about the film telling us to keep an eye on White Dwarf and also the logo for the new boxed game! The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey Strategy Battle Game - your telling me there ISN'T a new boxed set coming out?

Also attached is a mini-codex update for the new Warrior of Chaos models.

It looks like the first two pages come out as a massive Chaos Warriors poster.

A look at all the new releases, including the army boxes, paints and basing kits.

Battle Report: Warriors of Chaos v Ogre Kingdoms

A load of other 40k articles

On the back page we have a large portrait of Thorin Oakshield...

Of course (cheap plug) we do it for £4.90 here on our site, dispatches almost immediatly.

sounds good!
I'm not really sure the current system needs to be changed that much though, its rather good as it is right now.

looks like we'll need to get used to calling it THAUJ SBG in the future :P

Looking forward to it. Thanks for early info.

Also, as I feel slightly guilty in case I've contributed to the hysteria around the assumed 'reveal' that made you buy in extra copies, I'll sign up to your newsletter now.

[Just checked your website - you didn't mention you were selling MOM boxed set for under £41!]

Haha no worries EllieDoc, I was informed by GW Hobbit was November, not December. So not your fault! Yes! Three Mines box sets left at the moment, will try to restock but I wonder if GW will discontinue it in a couple of weeks in place of Hobbit perhaps?

If anyone asks, pre-orders for all the new Chaos & Scenics stuff goes up Saturday at 00:01 British Time (on most sites)!

So the Hype and teasers, nudges and winks from staff were actually hinting at more hype and teasers, and not actual News on upcoming releases? If I didn't know that GW takes itself 100% seriously, I'd think it was a self parody.

It reminds me of Bethesda, promising "big news" for Elder Scrolls Skyrim in a weeks time, only to release a sinlge screenshot when the day came.

GW treats its customers like sheep.

The reality is that the staff don't have a clue

Really interesting article about salt-weathering, using actual table salt to create a weathered-rusting look on your tanks and war machines, its actually pretty effective and I can't wait to try it. Wish I could paint to the standard of the 'Eavy Metal team though :(

This is one of my favorite techniques to create chips and scratches on models. So easy too. You can also use coarser salt to create bigger chips.

Washes off with water.

Back to the Hobbit.....sounds like there are no pictures of the miniatures? If that is so I am very very sad.

Go the new WD, the Christmas Gift Leaflet that comes with it has a picture of some LOTR figures but no text saying Lord of the Rings!
One page has The Hobbit SBG

Also has any one seen the price of the ultimate Paint Set, a wopping big £280.!!!!
You have to be mega rich to buy that!

Yeah, awesome paint set though! My site doing it for £229.99 and I've decided to get one for myself as a present, purely because its about £350 buying them separately and my better half now commission paints. But if you don't use many paints then wow... boy thats a big investment.
