Hi all, sorry for the delay, alas sometimes real life gets in the way of hobby stuff! :-) The mag's exported, Tom's just doing some back-end work on the Google Plus page. The mag should be online at some point today. I'll put a post up when it's ready.

@Dr Grant That's alright, I understand, real life comes first after all.

Fantastic job. I really enjoyed it. The photographs in the battle report are particularly evocative.

Just downloaded issue two, and also posted it across to the DakkaDakka forums, as quite a few of the LotR crowd there aren't on here!

Thanks again for all the hard work, it's stuff like this that'll keep the game going long after GW decides LotR isn't worth the (minimal) shelf space they sell it on!

It is really wonderful to see that you gentlemen are so dedicated to this. It's outstanding. The enjoyment you guys get from the game really shines through.

My only complaint is that your not doing this for LOTR.
I'm just not a Hobbit fan.
But there is plenty of good reading and great photos packed in this issue.
Congratulation on a job very well done.

Great issue gentlemen. Very much enjoyed it and thanks for all the hard work you put into this. The SBG magazine is more or less required reading for us DCHL guys. ;)

Looking forward to meeting you in a few months at the NoVA Open. We are all training hard for the Yanks v Brits showdown. :)

Terrific work guys, read some of it already and will certainly get to the remainder later on. Wouldn't mind seeing a batrep video of the scenario, looks like a great one with plenty of exciting moments in it (all those heroic strikes and hard-fought duels).

Not only are they one and the same game, this second installment happened to be themed on the Azanulbizar battle.. so logically will spend most time on that. (Technically, more of what's known of Azanulbizar is actually from the LotR Appendix rather than the Hobbit, in terms of the books, but that's a different story altogether.) Even so, Tom/Damian/Kieran's articles are all on the game or the community as a whole, nothing Hobbit-specific about it. While I'm not really into the Hobbit myself (aside from Mirkwood, because.. Elves. And trees. Glorious trees.), that doesn't stop enjoyment of good hobby content. It's not like it's Warhammer 40,000 or something similarly atrocious - it's still Middle-earth. With beardy dwarfs fighting dirty orcs. Terrific conversions and scenery. Desperate decisions that are regretted a few dice-rolls later. A.k.a.: good stuff.

Hey! I absolutely aggre with all the praise. You edited my post leaving out the last 2 lines which were very complimentary:

I don't game, I just collect the figures and I do not care for the Hobbit figures.
In my opinion they are not as good as the LOTR. That's just my personal opinion.
