That's an interesting idea. I'll throw it on the TODO list.

While I'm here, it has been my intention to get the Quest of the Ringbearer scenarios up on the site as soon as possible. Unfortunately, my book, which was supposed to be delivered this past weekend, is now scheduled for next weekend instead, and at that time I've got some Real Life(tm) to deal with that will probably preclude the scenarios showing up on the site for another week after that. So .... your patience is appreciated. It will get done, though!

Nothing bad I hope?

It seems I misclicked at one time or something, because I have given the 'End of All Things' scenario a rating. Is it possible to remove my own rating manually? I see I am able to change it, but not remove it?

Everything's good, Voyager360, thanks. I've just some time consuming commitments that need to be handled.

I've reset your 'End of All Things" rating. I'll add "remove my rating" to the TODO list.

I did finally get my Quest book. Hope to have the scenarios input by the end of the weekend.

OK, Quest of the Ringbearer scenarios are in.

If you see that you apparently have no models owned and/or painted for the new scenarios, remember that that computation happens only when you change your inventory. So buy or (better) paint something!

Please let me know if you encounter errors.

Nice, thanks for all the work!

One thing I did notice is that in 'The Taming of Sméagol' scenario it says I have 60% collected and 60% painted. But I've painted Frodo, Sam and Gollum and they are the only participants listed.

Other than that it seems to work perfectly for me.

Another thing that I wondered about (which doesn't have anything to do with Quest of the Ringbearer, this was also there before) is that in the 'The Black Gate Opens' scenario found in Return of the King (2007), it lists 13 Orc Captains with Shields as participants. I don't have the book on me, but I assume those should be Morannon Orcs with Shields? Or do they really expect you to keep track of the stats of 13 different Orc captains? :sauron:

Re: Taming of Sméagol, I suspect your data was updated while I was still entering that scenario's information. If the problem doesn't go away after your next inventory change, let me know and I can patch it by hand.

Re: The Black Gate Opens: the old RotK journeybook rather lamely gives points values rather than lists of combatants. In this particular case, the remit is "1 Mordor Troll Chieftain; 3 Ringwraiths on Fell Beast; Up to 1,000 points of Evil Heroes. Mounted models may not be chosen." So I had to make up most of the order of battle, and I guess I just got lazy.

And I see now that I illegally put 2 Mordor Trolls in the list. I think they still belong there. though, "heroes only" instruction notwithstanding.

Hi Dave,

The Taming of Sméagol scenario still shows 60% despite a new inventory change.

As for The Black Gate Opens, I see, that is disappointing. I do have the old Return of the King rulebook and know that it often gave just point values instead of participants, but it's a shame to hear the same is true for the journey book version. Anyway, good to know!

Hi again, Voyager360. Your "Taming" count should be correct now if you refresh.

For some reason the db thought there were five figures in the scenario instead of three; that's fixed now.

Thanks for the bug report!
