Possible new Eomer incoming?

The old one is "no longer available" on the GW website.

There's a GT this weekend, so there might be some kind of announcement of a new model - I want to believe!

I'd rather have a new Boromir and Faramir with all the options.

I especially would like a new Faramir. The existing versions are not very good. A shield and lance combo would be nice. Especially since no one would ever play him as modeled - no shield or lance.

The existing Boromir is excellent, but I'd like a plastic one with options for horse, lance and shield, or banner. I'd like something I can magnetize and play WYSIWYG.

Interesting! Where did you find that? I can't find it on the warhammer community site, or was is told on the Middle Earth event this weekend?

I read on Reddit on the r/MiddleEarthMiniatures thread several reviews of what happened at last weekends event.

New made to order - as mentioned above, metal Ent, Uruk-Hai battering ram, mounted Gambling w/o banner.

Forgeworld Facebook has pictures of new models from them - two bases with Crebain on them (the birds spies of Saruman) and a new pose of the Dungeon Keeper from the Hobbit movies. The current one on GW website is no longer available.

Next book from GW will be a Best of White Dwarf compilation from old to latest. Didn't say if it will just be the previous best of white dwarfs that came out after each movie or what.

And as for plastic Eomer, while they haven't said anything official, the feeling of everyone attending the weekend event was that it's very likely coming (at some point).

It would make a lot of sense really given that the Pelennor Fields box set is the gateway for new players and still available in GW stores, so new players would want to expand their Rohan lists.

Agree it makes total sense for a plastic eomer, there are still GW reveals to come in the next month so hopefully it won't be long until we see something.

Great model ... and it's also really good how they've put all the options in for sword/spear, shield or not, and armoured horse. Nice to hear that there are lots more plastic characters being lined up for the future too.

another character long overdue for an update.

I'm hoping for a plastic Faramir in the characters line. He's long overdue for a heroic make over. I love the barded version, though, it's one of my favorite sculpts. Who do you think needs a plastic sculpt done. We haven't seen any evil heroes.

I might have to play Warcry, I just adore most of the war bands.

I am a huge LotR fan...but that being said WarCry is a LOT of fun! I would give it a go. Now, that Eomer model...I've been waiting for that for years and he is well worth it. Just painted my old Marshal of the Riddermark model for Adepticon too. Oh well... :roll:

I definitely like the helmet under the arm pose he has for the one foot version. That with the sword are will look sweet. I am not impressed by the spear he has though. It is, much like Elfhelm's, not in that Rohan style. Should be easy enough to swap one over from my royal guard though.

Absolutely love the new pose. It's been a long time coming but completely worth the wait!

Although I do agree with you Wan Shi Tong, the throwing spear just isn't quite right- looks too short or something. I'll be using the sword most likely..

They announced a new Eomer but... when he will be out?

He would probably have been out by now, except that the GW factory was shutdown for a while. Hopefully soon!
