The Battle Games in Middle Earth youtube channel has an interview going live on 19th October with the Perry Twins, sculptors of most of the original model range.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SjIA1vF64dc

Harry's interview with Rick Priestley was interesting, so I'm sure this will be a great watch.

The Perrys have made some great models ... I think I have the Brettonian Green Knight in a cupboard still that I must dig up and paint!

I have that mini somewhere, I loved all those Brettonian models. Too bad they're all obsolete.

But yeah, the Perrys were the masters of the LOTR range for quite awhile there.

Just watched this today. Very interesting hour long programme with lots of good information about the game, the films and how to sculpt miniatures.

If you don't know the story about Michael Perry's accident during a re-enactment event in France, it's dramatically told here, along with an inspiring recovery.

Also very impressed that Michael Perry thought he'd try out digital sculpting on a spare office computer one day ... and ended up making Smaug!

Thanks to the Perrys for some great miniatures, and to Harry for the interesting programmes.

Brilliant stuff. I remember reading about them in a WD article years ago where it mentioned Michael's accident. Very admirable his persevering onwards despite it.

Does anyone know why they left GW in the end?

Thanks for sharing the link to the video. I've read some interviews with the Perrys over the years (primarily about their historical minis) but still learned some things.

The most amazing bit to me was watching Alan(?) sculpting in an easy chair without any sort of magnification. He must have great eyes.

Kudos to Harry!
