I've searched around but couldn't find any guide or tips on how to paint white.
White is a very difficult colour to paint if you don't know how.

I want to use white to paint a part of my blood angel force.
But I also want to paint white cloth.

Both white but very different styles of painting.
Does anyone know a good formula on how to paint white armour and white cloth?
Much appreciated :)

I've read there are 3 types of white: warm white, which is built up using browns, cold white which uses blue and neutral white, which is based on grays. Lotr usually uses warm white, for the cloth. I personally use Graveyard earth, Bleached bone and White.

My very simple, but "close enough" way is as follows: Undercoat white. Paint the white parts white again. Shade using Bleached Bone. That's it. If you're more advanced you'll probably want to use mixes to soften the transition, but I have found that having very little paint on the brush (nearly like you're drybrushing, but just paint it in) goes a long way to mitigating that problem.
