I have yet to try this scenario out but I will hopefully soon.

Points match.
Layout: 48" by 48" square board, one objective marker in the middle of the board with ruins spread out in a rough circle with a 24" diameter to represent the ruins of an evil temple.

Deployment

Evil: the evil army must include at least one magic user costing no more than 70pts.
Evil deploys 1/4 of his force including the magic user 6" from the objective. The rest of his force will arrive as reinforcements.

Good: the good army deploys 1/3 of his force on his chosen board edge, the rest of his force will deploy as reinforments.

Reinforcements:
At the beggining of each player's move phase then roll 2D6. This is how many troops arrive at that turn (might cannot be used to modify this) then roll a D6, on the roll of a 1,2 the opponent chooses which board edge they deploy on, on 3,4,5, or 6, the controlling player chooses. This is done every turn until all troops have been deployed.

Note: heroes count as a 3 when deploying e.g a player rolls 2D6 and rolls a 3, and a 5. He can either choose to deploy a hero and 5 troops or deploy 8 troops (he cannot deploy more than one hero a turn.) Also note, only roll 2D6 when playing 500pts. roll 1 extra/less D6 for every 250pts. that the game's point value is higher/lower.

Objectives:
The good player must retrieve the objective (another good model which is unconcious) and carried it back to the good player's board edge. Only infantry models may carry the objective. It costs half the model's move to pick up the objective, if the carrying model is charged, it immediately drops the objective. The evil player must sacrifice the model to win (see end conditions). The evil models may also carry the victim (to get it back inside the circle for example but the victim cannot be sacrificed if it is being carried.)

End conditions:
The game ends when the objective is slain (by sacrifice or not) or is carried of the good player's board edge. At the end of each turn, after turn 6, if the magic user is in base contact with the objective and has not moved, fought, cast a magical power or shot or has been wounded then the evil player rolls a D6, on a 6 then the objective is slain and the game ends, this roll increases every turn e.g, turn 7 would need a 5 or 6 turn 9 would need 3,4,5 or a 6.

Special Rules:
Desperate: if the magic user is slain, then the other evil models can attempt to kill the victim. This works like the sacrifice mentioned above but the evil player suffers a -1 penalty. (only one sacrifice may be attempted per turn.)

Victory Conditions:
Major good victory: the evil magic user is slain and the victim is rescued.
Minor good victory: the victim is rescued but the evil magic user is not slain.
Draw: the victim is slain outside the 24" diameter circle
Minor evil victory: the victim is slain but not by the magic user inside the 24" circle or the victim is slain outside the 24" circle by the evil magic user.
Major evil victory: the victim is slain by the evil magic user within the 24" circle.

Enjoy! Please give feed-back.

Interesting idea. Couple of points:

The sacrificial model - is this a pointed up model from the good sides force, or a spare additional figure? If the former - how do you decide which model to give up, if the latter, what are its stats?

I wouldn't limit carrying the model to foot troops, how many times in the movies (in gerneral - not just LOTR) do we see a prone figure flung across the front of a riders saddle...

The sacrificial model is not included in the good player's army.
