G'day all,
the previous topic re orcs speaking reminds me; did JRRT ever 'write' the complete Black Speech or do we just have a few 'fragments'? We know of the One Ring inscription, some place and 'people' names ie Lugburz, Skarku, Snaga etc etc and also other little bits around the place such as 'gnash' etc. But did he ever write out the speech or even the letters in the same way as he did with, say Kazad?

Sadly not, no, he never really did anything with it. There's been a couple of fan attempts at fleshing it out, but there isn't much to work with to begin with.
