@Dom - right click the link and save it to your computer. Once saved it should open fine.

Hi miniman, I managed to get a box of fell wargs the other day and I thought I should get some sprue pics for you before I assemble them.
I'm not great at photography, are there any requirements you have for photos? I'm thinking size, lighting conditions etc.
Best I can do for a camera is my phone (galaxy s2). Would this help you or be a waste of time?

Thanks for your offer, maybe next time I will ask for it in case of another box, but Lotr-collector already made these pictures. Sorry I was lazy till now to place these in the CG.

Thanks again!

Lovely guide, though I wouldn't call myself much of a collector compared to many of you!

One question - in the first diorama with the two Gollum models, where are those models from? one looks like it's converted from the Gollum model with a fish...

Thanks
VG

I think both of them are conversions. The left one is the Emyn Muil Gollum, and the right one is the Ithilien Gollum (with the fish).
I did not found any wip pic, so I'm not sure but I think those two minis were converted.

Hi Miniman, any plans to update your guide? It is a great 'go to' reference and it would be awesome to add the new Hobbit miniatures. :)

The new miniatures are a big disappointment for me. What I've found in the LOTR miniature line 12 years ago is completely missing from these miniatures.
Soooo I've almost lost my interest about the GW miniature line because of these new ones. I'm really happy that my guide is useful, so I'm planning to update it, but it is not in the first place in my to do list.

Hi Miniman, i for really appreciate the time effort you spend on keeping the guide up to date. Once a year i print it all out and check the collection against it.

Thanks for the work you've done on the guide Miniman. It is really appreciated. I do understand your feelings regarding the direction that GW has taken with the game line.

As my budget allows (which is not often due to the exorbitant prices) I will be picking up some of the plastic models. The rest of my focus will be on collecting LotR figures in the secondary market, hence the usefulness of your guide.

Bless your cotton socks Miniman! That's a nice Christmas surprise. :-) Thank you.

*edit* just noticed a teeny weeny typo on the Journeybooks page. The Two Tower(s) is missing the last 's'.

Great work, there are a handful of corsairs that would be great to see featured.

So I'm not sure if these were ever models released to the public or just conversions for the mag...but I was looking through my BGIME trying to get inspired for a project and there are two Gandalf models;

- Sitting down with moth in his hand
- Lying on the back of an eagle

I'll try and get pics later today.

IIRC the one with the moth was a conversion as Golden Demon entry

Both were conversions.
"Gandalf and the Moth" was made by Daren Parwood, and the other one by a GW stuff, if I remember well.

I love this collector's guide, very nice work! It's been extremely helpful sorting out the models I have and the one's I'm still missing.

Is there any way we can get write access to this file so we can put checkmarks next to the models instead of printing out 240 pages? Alternatively, it looks like this PDF can be converted to Excel or word, but only is you have the password...

Many thanks again for your considerable efforts on this compilation!
