There ~ I finally spoke "Friend" and entered!

Hi everyone, I'm a long term Middle Earth fanatic (since first reading LOTR in 1974), and was a keen wargamer from an even earlier date up until becoming a touring musician when the unsociable hours made it impossible to arrange games.
To 'scratch the itch' I've recently been exploring solo gaming, and come to the decision that the Hither Lands is just the place to do it!

Having discovered this great forum and lurked long enough to pick up the inspiration I needed to take the plunge (Thanks everyone!), my journey starts here.
I'll keep you informed of my progress, but no doubt will also be seeking your help and advice along the way!

The journey begins ~ I got my first figures today, the first wargames figures I've had for years and boy! are they small compared to the 1/19th figures I've got used to for my garden railway!

Hopefully I'll be able to post progress over on the W.I.P boards before too long.
