*Dragon, wings, breathe fire
-4 warg rider, shield
-7 orc warrior

*Dwimmerlake, horse
-4 black numenorean, warhorn
-8 orc warrior

*Orc Shaman
-8 orc warrior
-3 morannon orc

Overall: 800 points, 37 units, 4 might

So, is this good? I was pondering that this breathe fire would be actually worth it, because there are numerous of enemy heroes that it can counter (very likely), for example: fellbeast, balrog, boromir, gil-galad, cave drake, shelob...

Another, quite likely option could be to drop the fire breathing, and get more morannons, maybe a couple more special units. This fire has one problem, and it is that it is not a throwing weapon, instead a bow. So it is much less utilizable... And enemy might just keep distance so he forces me to use fire on normal enemy troops, because most likely Dragon is more valuable on melee than any of these mentioned (excluding balrog...)

So, which road is better?

I prefer tough hide instead of breathe fire because you will probably need to conserve your will points. And tough hide will make it even more difficult to wound it.

at 800 pts you're bound to find some spellcaster. Breathe fire uses the dragon's own will, making it more vulnerable to magic and to fail courage tests. I'd give him either the tough hide or Wings to fly.

Well. What if dragon has C5 due to warhorn and magic support? He is anyways resistant to magic.

That is because most of the activity has moved to the FB page. Tough hide is the way to go. Fire requires the expenditure of will. Plus, as a monster, you will have access to hurl, and rend so as great as Fire is, the monster power attacks come at no extra cost. You have 2 options. Go with what provides statistical superiority, or go with what you want and to Mordor with everyone else!
