Looking fabulous Mac. Are you keeping the scales on the snake as is or had you contemplated a pattern, like rattlesnakes, anacondas and so forth? Snakes can be very beautiful, in their own way, and just because this is the villain of the piece doesn't mean it shouldn't maybe get a wee touch of reptilian bling. It's just a thought.

Errmm... did it really been that long?!

Well, I am finally back to painting and among other things I started another Tales of War miniature. It's another tiny (it really is tiny this one!) babe, Tinkerbell... theres a Peter Pan to go with it too, but thats for later.

Here's some pictures, hope you guys like it:

And just to show how tiny it is...

Great looking Tink so far mate! Glad to see you painting again! Missed these non-GW-ones of yours!! The white effect on the wings is a fantastic idea!
(reminds of some fairies I still have to finish... Might steal your idea... )

Oh, and we don't really need any Peter Pan-birdses... only lovely Tinkie is just fine... ;)

How hard was it to paint a figure so small?
It is brilliantly painted :yay:

Great painting as per usual, Mac. I am guessing the base for this one involves some larger flowers and greenery to emphasise her petite stature?

Finally got the desk tidy and had a go at painting... been so long!

Instead of starting something new I picked a mini I painted a long time ago (some of you might still remember the other version) and changed most of the parts to some degree (from total repaint to cleaning/retouching). Also changed the base considerably.

Not ready to call it done, but I'll get there... eventually.

Hope you like it! Leogante, from Andrea Miniatures.

... already retouching another one! :D

Its a 54mm miniature from the Warlord Saga fantasy range by Andrea Miniatures. Its a very tall 54mm though.

A long, long time ago, in a galaxy far away, I stated this mini with the idea of going full black and white... alas, ended up finding it too hard and went for a colour version.

Some of the old timers might remember this version of Rick, from the movie Casablanca.

Was never happy with how it was turning out and decided to have another go with the black and white and worked on it a lot last summer. Finally did some finishing touches and calling it done... well, maybe I'l freehand the Casablanca lettering from the movie poster

A few years of experience and it ended up a whole lot better I think!

Amazing stuff Mig! Crazy technical highlighting. Black and white is such a hard thing to do.

Very nice work. It's a shame you don't have the Scale 75 Black and White set, it would work perfectly on this figure. There are surprisingly some subtle creamy browns in the set that give a fantastic look.
As good as this, and it is damn good, I feel there is a better one in you.

I do have both the Black and the White paint sets from Andrea. They are pretty good too.

Well, since I seem to be in repainting mode for the moment, yesterday I picked one mini I started ages ago (it dates to page 3 of this thread!) and never got to finish. Abbadon the Despoiler Yes, I do paint 40k too... well, sort of. I painted 3 whole minis for some charity thing, started about as many and never finished them.

Anyway, decided on an almost complete change of looks, so Its pretty much a start over. 40k minis are so busy comparing to most of the stuff I'm used to so this will take me a while to get done.

For now, working mostly in the armour and steel bits. Lots to be done.
