I was wondering what became of this project, thought it was being used at a show last year?

The show is at the end of next month Dave, so I've had about a year to get this done (and it still wasn't enough).

I've been keeping a very occasional eye out for this project since you began it. Its very well made, and very inpressive. It looks amazing, and original, unlike any other miniature terrain I've ever seen. Cant wait until it is 100% finished.

An absolute stunner. Detail in every corner....extremely realistic coloring all around. Well done! :yay:

Wow! It's been ages since I saw this, but it's coming along brilliantly! Stunning castle as always Alan!

Nearly finished! These next few shots will give you a clue about how close this is to being finished - which is good, 'cos I am going to be using it next weekend!!!

My mouth dropped open in the awesomeness of your creation.

I see some white spots, but I think it's not ready right?

Who's that funny-looking guy in the first pic? Naw, jk of course ;)

Is their a word to describe something that is so amazing, amazing dies when I utter it to describe it?

No?

Screw the dictionary.

Amazing. Epic. Inspiring. Flabbergasting. And any other word that positively describes something cool that can be found in my copy of Freddy's Guide to Being Positive.

:yay: :yay: :yay:

That thing is MASSIVE!

Really great stuff, Alan. Inspiring at so many levels...

The walls in the first pic look a bit shiny. Is the paint still wet or do you apply any matte stuff over the whole thing after? In the other pics the walls are all perfect and look nothing like that one.

Almost there mate! Keep it up! 8)

Thanks everyone. And yes, that is me in the first picture.

@Mac, the cliffs I am painting are shiny because they are wet, but any other shininess is due to the camera flash.

@imrail, yep, the white bits are the parts I haven't painted yet.

Now that we know how close this thing is to finished, I can't wait to see it totally completed.

There are some shots of the completed castle and the minis we used on my blog:

It came out really well, I'm very pleased with the finished results.
