hey all

as an aside from my original game (which now has a name: redemption of Wi'lei), i have decided to make a game based on the popular australian series, the rangers apprentice. i'll be releasing a rulebook, with an artist's impression of will, halt, gilan and/or a map of Flaganan's (the author) world. after that, i'll make a few supplements, based on the actual books (e.g: the first one will be the ruins of gorlan).

of course, i need models. i'll be sculpting wil, halt, gilan and the other rangers, but i might need other models. i'm thinking ebobs new heavy knights for the barons and lords (like arald and david) and duncan. any thoughts on this? i'm also thinking about other ebob models for men-at-arms and stuff. any thoughts and other models?

thanks

doopy 8)

EDIT: thanks guys

that sounds great doop. will be looking forward to seeing this rulebook and how the game goes. Ebobs heavy knights would be a good choice for the barons and lord. Ill try and come up with some ideas for you but for now my brains not working very well...as usual, !

Nope and Nope :( . Can't remember what book it was but I remember something about a bridge... It will come back to me if i keep thinking about it. I think there was something about a war with somebody caled magorath or something like that. Sorry I can't remember much but I am going to be keeping an eye out on ebay for the books so that I can read them all in order and properly (was skim reading it at parts because he was only in England for a couple of weeks and I'm an incredibly slow reader  )

Thanks for all your help Doopy

Wow great idea Doopy! :D

I have read the majority of the books and i'm willing to help out with anything if need be.

I envisioned the worgs as the d&d gnoll models which may be worth looking at as they fit the description perfectly.

If you wanna send over some of the heavy cavalry (your in Oz i'm in NZ) so I can help with painting them then wizz them back to you I'd be honored.

COOL! :D I'm a huge fan of the series, and always thought the idea of ranger miniatures would be really cool. :-D I'm looking forward to the finished ranger minis!

I read these books about 3-4 years ago. Where there enough guys to even do a few armies so you could play rangers apprentice in a lome kind of way. I really forgot the books plot, might get them off the shelf 8)
