Thanx Guys !

@Ligthning, I just traded the 2nd Gothmog with Elrohir, he's been on my trade list for a week or so now.

Next up will probably be Gandalf the White.

Your new paint jobs look alot better than the companys. Are you going to continue to buy all the pieces and repaint them?

Thats the plan Jay, I have subscribed to the collection and in the process have given myself yet another backlog to compete with

Nice job re-painting the chess pieces, although for the price I won't be bothering.

I'd do the the same but already have a huge backlog of BGiME figures to get through.

Keep up the good work...And the updates. :)

Just saw this thread now. Have you got any more updates Brian? These re paint jobs look fantastic. My dad is subscribed to the other collectors series run by the same crowd and the paint jobs deffinitely leave a lot to be desired. Really makes me think about repainting a few of the doubles (or triple) models they sent me. I think it might be a nice way to get back into the hobby. Some more inspiration would be great though ;)

Well, due to the deterioration of my eyes, I am having great difficulty getting any sort of decent result on any 28mm figures, therefore I have turned my attention back to the 54mm Chess pieces.

Heres a shot of the latest as seen when bought and another of my work in progress...

Hope you like :)

Looking much better than the original one so far.

Great to see you back to the hobby, mate! ;)

P.S. You really should sort those eye problems...

I agree, it looks MUCH better than the original.

Hope to see more pics of painted minis from you, no matter what scale

BTW this is my post number 666

looks good.
Don't let those eye troubles hold you back! Run over to the eye doctor and see what he can do. (That said I have needed glasses since summer and my eyes have only gotten worse...)

These improvements to the figurines are looking great - much better than the pitiful paint job that they start as. Nice work!

The original painting pales in comparison with what you've achieved. Great job !

I dont strip em Matt, just a thin spray of Chaos Black. With 54mm, there is absolutely no loss in detail.
