Some scenarios at the start of the Fellowship of the Ring require Frodo, Sam, Merry and Pippin to be unarmed as they have just started out on their journey. This is an easy conversion if you have spare Hobbit companion models.

Our first Tales supplement is released

Bree and the Barrow Downs is the first released Tales of Middle Earth Tales source book and contains a lot of information about Bree and the Barrow Downs as well as a tale set in that locale.

This has been written for a good long while and I was thinking about not releasing it as the ToME sites remit has changed since its creation but I figured it may be of some use and interest to someone.

Crickhollow is a small settlement in Buckland, located a short way to the northeast of Brandy Hall.

Its most notable spot is an isolated house standing back from the lane in the middle of a wide lawn. It is surrounded by low trees inside an outer hedge, and there are no other dwellings nearby. This house is occasionally occupied with Brandybuck Hobbits who grew tired of the often crowded Brandy Hall.

Around the year 1050, a shadow of fear fell on the forest later called Mirkwood. As would later become known, this was the first sign of Sauron's manifestation, but for many years he was not recognized. He was known as the Necromancer. He established a stronghold called Dol Guldur, or the Hill of Sorcery, in the southern part of the forest not far from Lórien.

How to paint Games Workshop's The Fall of the Necromancer model in a more fiery scheme, similar to what was seen in The Hobbit movies.
