Looking good but when you look at it on a big screen (like a TV) you start to run out of background image on the home page, not really gong to be an issue for most though.

Thanks Phil - we're looking into the background now - the resolution is not too good either.

Hey DMS

Web designer here :)

Love your work some great stuff and website is looking grand had a quick look and have couple of pointers I would suggest -

1. You don't see many website with such a vibrant background image, the reason is that it can take away from the content of the site. Consider removing it and replacing it with a gradient i.e. Black fading into grey perhaps. Or maybe even just reducing the transparency of the image by say 50-70%

2. Increase your text size, a general rule would be to have no more than 12 words per line. This actually can cause viewers to become disinterested and leave the site.

3. Stick with either serif or Sans-serif in your fonts (the little ticks of the letters) keep either one or the other, with a maximum of no more than 3 different fonts for the whole site.

4. oh and get google analytics on that bad boy so you can track traffic, and which pages are getting most attention.

Again don't take this as law it your site just my opinion and what I have been taught.

Great content tho and hope your update frequently looking forwards to reading more.

Thanks man - appreciate the feedback.

Yes I agree re. the font size I will change that once I finish Bard and Thrain and update the site.

The background we are looking at - we would prefer a black/ grey sort of smokey background (very dark almost black) with flames along the bottom only but we are having problems as for some reason we cannot use a pic above 300k which is problematic as we have to tile it to fill the page. Tiling it means the flames that we want accross the bottom end up repeated all the way up the page which does not look good. Working on it.

Analytics are on - fantastic tool!!

Thanks again buddy.

Looks great. Now I have a site I can get prices from to save up and order all of those Tree Giants, probably will order the bear as well as I think it looks better than the Film version (aka Games Workshops current incarnation). Shipping will hurt to the states, but will have to deal with it.

I do like the dark back ground with flame licks on the bottom.

Shadow and Flame finally has a website. We have been running our business from a blogger site for a while now and it has not been ideal to say the least. Its all live and up and running now if you would like to take a look.

There may be things you think could be better or perhaps not working correctly - take a look and if you have any feedback let me know. Much appreciated Shadow & Flame

Just a heads up to say that the Shadow and Flame webstore has been restocked fully. All tree giants are available again in limited numbers for the time being. There is also a mountain giant available.

click the link to take a look.

I need to order a Linden Ent, so I have the full set, but my hobby budget for this month is spent. Hope they last until next month rolls around!
