Maelstrom Games is having a sale before Games Workshop raises its prices again. If you enter the code GW-BEATER in checkout, you should get a discount of 17.5%. Specifically Americans, if you haven't purchased from Maelstrom before, I'd recommend them, as the prices on the site provide massive savings in other currencies. Just be sure to shop in GBP, as the other currencies are off, and use a currency converter to be sure of the amount.

So now do you want to hear an epic fail? ;)

Seeing as I'm 17, I use prepaid debit cards, those gift cards you can pick up at grocery stores, to purchase safely online without using my parents' plastic (which they do not let me use). So last night, I purchased one of these cards with the specific intention of buying from Maelstrom, but as I went through checkout, I came to the sad realization that Maelstrom Games does not take Discover cards, which was the card I chose to buy, but rather, nearly every other company's cards, most of which were present at the place I purchased the card from. I shoulda just went with Visa... :(

I thought I'd make this public since I'm unable to support them and they are a great company.

Ouch...that really sucks mate. You really should've went with a debit mastercard or something along the same lines as that. I have one, and it acts as a credit card, however contains no credit, and the money that is used with it is already mine, so no need to worry about paying bills for it etc.

Nice deal though :D As I live in Aus, everything I buy from Maelstrom is around 60% off RRP - so I may as well splurge on a second set of ruins and another box of minis :P

I'll been feeling bad about it all day. I'm exceptionally responsible with money, I just can't believe I didn't check if Maelstrom took Discover before I purchased the card, and that I still didn't check before I opened the card! I tried to return it today, but to no avail. I'd been making calculations all week, and if I just would've bought the Visa card instead, I could've purchased Armored Boromir Ft. and Mt. along with Coat d'arms Hairy Brown, and still have enough leftover (after the discount and cashback) to buy some eBob Miniatures... :(

Ah well, I made a mistake. Right now I'm on Amazon about to purchase a long overdue copy of Legions of Middle-earth. All in all though, I'll be losing around $7.

Enjoy your Maelstrom purchases!

Just got an email from Maelstrom saying they are extending the deal til 27th, better get your orders in if you haven't already. If you have any doubts it is a total bargain, I got Buhrdur and Sauron for 56 bucks (AU) delivered :D Considering Buhrdur is 50 and Sauron is 72 on their own (from GW)

I think it's free, but go to 'checkout' and take a look.
