-Can a model fire to a supporting model?

-and to a "3rd row" supporting unit (pike)?

-If you can only fire if you are bad guy... how is resolved if there is more units in one side than in the other side in the fight?

Supporting models, whether pikes or spears, are not considered to be part of a fight and they can be targeted by shooting without having to role an in the way for the combat if they have a clear line of sight.

If you are a good model, you wont be able to shoot into a combat because you have to randomize to see if you hit a friendly or an enemy model in the same fight. Because there is a possibility of shooting your ally, a good model can't do it. Evil models may choose to fight into combats. To determine which model is hit or a die, on a low result, the closest friendly evil model to the archer is hit and on a high result the intended good model was hit.

Had a question about this on another thread, but I will ask it hear as well.

If an evil model shoots at a spear supporting good model and the good model he is supporting is in the way, then I would make an in they way roll to determine if the spear supporting good model is hit or if the good model directly involved in the fight is hit.

But, what happens if the good unit directly involved in the fight is hit. Does the good model just die, or do I have to make a 2nd special roll to determine which model directly involved in the fight takes hit (the good model or the evil model).

Curious about this. Thanks

Explained on another forum, so I'm reposting here for future reference.

So the rolling order for this would be. Start by rolling to see if you hit (you knew that already), then you roll an in the way for the combat, you don’t roll an in the way specifically for good model B, but the combat itself. If you fail that in the way roll, you will then roll to see who you hit. On a 1-3 you hit your own nearest model (in the combat), on a 4-6 you hit your opponents nearest model (in the combat). Obviously when there’s only 1 model fighting on either side they are both automatically the closest model. Hope this helps!
