Surely you would just be able to say when someone fields goblins and says "Oh yeah, and by the way, all these goblins are prowlers" (que for  ) "Sorry mate but I'm not taking that just because you can't be bothered to get the proper models.

Nope, can't say that I'm afraid, GT rules allow you to use 'count as' models.

Hmm, do they also show up with the Gamling + Outrider cheese? I've heard Woses are pretty dominating as well...

Yep, prowlers are a point too cheap, but the good thing about that is that if you play against uruk-hai so the extra fight value doesn't get you anything then you don't lose out because you got the fight value for free. :D

I have converted prowlers and do use them, but I most definitely use normal goblins too, all elite army's are bad theme imo. :)

I actually have no idea what makes them so good. I know they all have blowpipes (well, I think) and they are cheap but other than that IDK what makes them so good.

Also the +1 to kill orcses, it's not fun watching my marching Morannons face 30 blowpipes and then get killed on a 5+ in combat.

The fact that they are all metal, that I cannot think of a single model that can be used for either a conversion or a substitute, and that they are D3, balances that out. Sorta like Hobbits.

But still, plastic Hobbits would be awsome...

Meh, I don't think plastic hobbit's will work.
I didn't like the plastic hobbit heroes from MoM, and I doubt that plain plastic hobbit "warriors" will do any justice.

Yeah. Not that I'd ever use the competitively.
