I don't unbalance my minis on the base, but I really like what you did with the rock and might have to try something like that on a hero.

I think it looks fantastic! Wonderful work here. I was really looking at the mounted model and it looks so natural, it appears to be an official model.

Lovely work there. My only concern is the rim of the base. There's a bit of... (what do you call it, sprue?) that could be cleaned up to make it smooth. Besides that, your work is fantastic. 8)

Ah, the sand on the rim. Yes I agree that will have to be rectified. I had to paint both minis in a day so was rushing a bit and cutting corners.

Can I get a rewind? These miniatures have been sat around unpainted in this thread since page 12. That's five years of being shelved. Finally I gave them some love. :)

Has it really been that long? I feel like I just saw these yesterday. Excellent work!

As I said, the conversions have all been shown in stages earlier in this thread at some point, but to summarise: Warhammer skeleton horse parts with flesh and cloth sculpted over the top, combined with aotd torsos heads and arms.

Five years, cripes! But as the saying goes, 'all good things come to those who wait' and these look great. The banner bearer has to be my favourite.

Next up is a commission request. The Gundabad Troll from the Battle of the Five Armies. Originally this was supposed to be a simple conversion using the Mordor catapult troll. However it quickly became apparent to me that the Gundabad rider looked too big sat on the Mordor troll, so I ended up using the troll as an armature and completely reskinned him, creating a larger and more accurate design. I'm quite pleased with how he came out.
