Great job on that snowy Gandalf Bob!
The only thing that looks a wee bit off is the thickness of the cone of the hat. The barrel looks a little too thick for his head and the brim of the hat...otherwise brilliant conversion and stunning paint job brother!!! :yay:

Terrific job on Saruman, Samoht! I love the expression, and the skin is fantastic!

Your Gandalf is coming along nicely too, Aqan. I like the blue of his hat :)

Keep it up everyone!

Great work on Saruman, samoht. He's really coming along nicely!

@Aqan -- We better get a move on if we want to get our minis finished. The 31st is coming quick!

Now that I'm back from Alabama, I plan on getting my paint on tomorrow.

another small update:

i'm not quite happy with the grey-ish (layering and blending is pretty difficult, especially with grey because a little add of white or black makes a big difference on the cloath) anyway, it was done in a sort of rush because i've just a few days left. Any advice for the next time?

My Gandalf is finished; however, I need to get him based up and there are several things I need to do to get the base ready. I'll post pictures once that's done.

Nice job everyone on the progress so far!

After a few hours of painting, here's the result. (The basing will be done tomorrow and that's my finished one then)

I painted the sword a bit blue cause i think that glamring is something like sting, cause they were found at the same place(though i have no evidence for that). But a bit of blue couldnt be such a harm:3

My Gandalfs are finished as well. They will receive their Static Grass and varnish tonight. Pictures on the morrow!

Very nice. Yes, you are correct about Glamdring and Sting. I've not started my Gandalf yet..... can I paint a mini in 24 hours? We shall see...

Very nice work, BarukKhazad!

I just finished varnishing my Gandalf but it's already dark outside so I'll have to wait for tomorrow to get good light for the photo.

A few more photos showing my progress, I've given the outer cloak a wash and then rest the grey, hopefully it will look okay when it dries.

Well done everyone. :yay:

@ barukhazad what is it what you used for bushes?

Here's mine. :D
Image
The sword looks a bit odd because I couldn't get the previous paint from it without breaking the sword
It's not going to win any awards but it's finished before the end of the month and I think that's quite an acomplishment
I hope you like it
comments are most welcome.

Wonderful work, everyone! I haven't done much more work on my Gandalf, but hopefully I'll be able to finish him up in time. :)

Here are mine. I'll call them finished because the deadline is so close, but I want to go back and touch up the foot version of Gandalf. He has a little Graveyard Earth on the side of his base, and I'm not happy with his sword. I was getting tired of painting at that point, so I kinda rushed it. Oh well. They turned out a little blue in the pictures...I don't know what's up with that. Anyway, I have two more miniatures painted to a tabletop standard, which was my goal for this competition, so I consider it "Mission Accomplished."
