+1. The armour is super fitting for these guys. I wish I could sculpt that well; I'm scared to try cloaks and sashes! |

Thanks all! The weapons/axes are made from 1.5mm plasticard sheets. It takes some practice but once you have the basic shape cut out it all comes down to using modelling files to shape the edges. Yes more Fallen Dwarves are always in the pipeline, Anvil Industry have the metal masters for all the characters and also the Karkadann... just awaiting their turn in the production queue. |

Excellent work - combining regular troops with a few individual minis breaks up any potential monotony when painting. I like Pippin - he fits in well with the WoMT. |

Ugly pictures I'm afraid, I really need to take the time to configure things a bit better (recently switched camera's, light tent and went from windows to iMac...). That was a lot of painting for me. I think I'll now convert some Minas Tirith captains and perhaps some Citadel Guard from the remaining plastics I have. |

I'm looking to either sell or trade my completed Goblin Town army. About to create a post in the trade forum but thought I'd drop a message here. I need to clear space and want to update my collection, so these guys are on my farewell list. If you got to the first 5 pages of this blog you'll find all the images there. I'm UK based and would prefer to exchange for unpainted on the sprue miniatures. Drop me a PM if interested please. Goblin King Cave Troll Goblin Shaman & minion x 2 Goblin Captains x 9 Goblins with Spears and Shields x 24 Goblins All fully painted and based, lots of conversions and custom sculpts. Looking to trade for: Plastic Winged Nazgul Plastic Great Eagles Plastic Easterlings Plastic Morannon Orcs Metal Cave Drake or Dragon Metal Named RingWraiths Metal Black Guard of Barad-dur Castellans of Dol Guld-dur Metal Mordor Siege Bow Resin Great Beast of Gorgoroth Metal Harad Abrakan Guard Metal Half Trolls Metal Golden King of Harard Metal Harad Serpent Lord Metal Barrow Wights or Shades Or if you have any other LOTR miniature you want to part with, let me know. cheers. |

Loving the conversions of the Haradrim armour and axes and Bilbo's cape. Keep up the great work! |

They look good. Any particular reason to switch to flat bases? |

garmenhord wrote: They look good. Any particular reason to switch to flat bases? I'm experimenting with some plastic historical mini's, as well as Northstar Fantasy stuff. They all have integral bases on them so flat bases keep the miniatures looking grounded... otherwise they all looked too high for my taste, perched up on bevel edge bases. Plastic Rangers and Army of the Dead all scale perfectly with the historical plastics. I found them too large to go with my Warriors of Minas Tirith and other GW LOTR plastics so I decided to split them out into difference collections. Frostgrave plastic cultists make nice men of darkness... pics of those next. |
