Didn't think much of the pose that Games Workshop gave Lindr, but liked the idea of having him with Elrond. Felt he should have his hand on his sword vs extended so out came the x-acto blade.

First cut off the arm, then the hand. Drilled out some for pinning, temp glued the hand to the sword. Finally bent some wire for the arms, now just need to do green stuff in layers to build out the arm/sleeve.

Need a little more liquid green stuff and some smoothing, but I think I'm almost there.

Looks like a great little conversion! :) Very effective indeed.
I prefer this pose as well, the stretched arm was a bit awkward.

Will be doing Radagast to be talking with Gandalf.

Arches, walkway, statue bases - Hirst Arts.
Rock bases, trees - Woodland Scenics
Statues - GW - cut off base, made mold with Alumilite Mold Making, cast with plaster of paris and then hollowed out the faces.
Ground texture is Golden Artist Colors - coarse pumice gel.

Thinking about adding vines to arches.

Added vines to the back of the gate/arch, still need to trim them.

It looks great! Will you leave the orange parts?

@Rognar, the pictures make it more orange than it is, the first picture shows it better. The paint is Vallejo Cavalry Brown. I tried it as all black but I felt the two colors worked better.

Couldn't decide if I wanted a sword or spear, so shaved off the hand and attached the spear on the back using two straight pins and some chain.

Thanks.

It's amazing what I notice after I post. I need to dull the chain and work on better lighting, too much backlight on these photos.

Thanks Sithious. I've been inspired by reading these forums and hobby blogs to be much more adventurous in using my x-acto blade than when I first starting buying miniatures. After all, that is why they make glue or if the mistake is too big, the bits box. :-)

Nice troll with a muted colour scheme that works.
