Found another great Kickstarter, World of Twilight https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/12 ... gh-anyaral
It has a novel Initiative and Combat system in a world full of mini dinosaurs and a bit of steampunk.
You can download the first two rulebooks here: http://www.worldoftwilight.com/Rules.html

I didn't need to see this :P
I've had my eye on the miniatures for a while as they remind my of The Dark Crystal, more in style than the actual creatures themselves, I just can't afford another Kickstarter.

Ending this weekend and now has loads of add on's. I've actually played this now and must say, the game system is fantastic and original - very tactical on what you activate and when as the game turn could end at any moment.

You throw six tokens into a bag per player/side and 2 more combat tokens.
You then draw one at a time to see who gets to activate (activate a hero and he can activate x more troops) a bit like Bolt Action.
When you draw a Fight token, that's when models fight, so hang around to long being over - cautious and the model won't get to thump. Some units have a charge ability that enable them to attack when activated.
Keep on drawing and activating until the second Fight token is drawn, the turn ends after the fight.

:)
