What are your favourite scenarios from the BGiME series? I was just flicking through my collection looking for fun/interesting scenarios to try out and was wondering what others recommended? Personally, from my quick flick through, I'd have to say that the Haradrim v Gondor scenarios from issue 86 (the raids on the merchant caravan and oasis battle) are the most interesting from the ones I own (random issues where I could find them), along with 59 (Faramir's charge on Osgiliath) and 64 (Eomer's escape from Meduseld). But I'm rather interested in what other people found enjoyable and recommend looking into.

I have played only a few of them, but of those, my favourite has been a modified version of Burn the Village. I don't remember the exact issue, maybe something like ten, give or take one. It's the one where Rohan player must light a beacon to call for reinforcements. We switch the three hunters to riders of Rohan and use the full rules instead of what is originally intended and it still works.

Ah yes, those burning of the Westfold scenarios are always fun. I haven't seen the BGiME one, but there's one like it in TTT. Though no beacon...

I was interested in the Dwarven battle companies ones. Where you add a new chamber when they move through the door and it holds a random amount of goblins. Seems like something that would actually be fun to play by yourself as well!

Loved the recreation of the last alliance battle with Sauron, Gil-Galad, Elrond and company.

I would love to play it once but I can't find an opponent.

My favorite was restore the king. Its the whole reason I sculpted a mindless theoden sat on his throne. A fun little scenario that.

Oh sorry, I did not see your quote when asking about the issue. issue 51 has Gamling on the front and has the restore the king scenario i mentioned previously. Your actual query about the Sauron report has been answered above.

There is definitely arnor material in at least one of the white dwarfs. I remember the cover artwork when the arnor models first came out. I'll have a look through my collection.

EDIT: Arnor scenarios in WD 326 and 327. If it is Arnor you want though I recommend the old sourcebook Ruin of Arnor. Oop now but still pops up on eBay now and then

Thanks.
Is there anything in those white dwarves that isn't in the sourcebook. How to build terrain for example etc.?

There was an article about building an Arnorian watchtower. Also painting guide for rangers and warriors of Arnor. I don't remember the number of the WD but I think I have it somewhere...

The painting guides are in 326. The watchtower is in 305, way before the release of the source book.
