Cheers Matt for the link.

So what's the big deal with this lamp... the website staes that:
Quote:
Requires 1 x 11 watt energy saving PL tube bulb (supplied).

PL tube bulb, is this a fancy fluorescent bulb? I like the energy saving bit.

I'll have to look around for one.

Cheers

It's something like that. I bought such lamp about a year ago and I must say it's the best. Though I suggest switching bulb right away 'cause the supplied one isn't the best quality.

Curunir If you have any questions about these bulbs maybe this will help ;)

Ikea sells a work-lamp, i think it's called Global, for about 20 Euros. The tube bulb that comes with it is quite usable. Ikea sells the same assortment of goods all over the world, don't they?

I was hoping to work on a light box like LOTRCrown showed on the first page of this thread but the photos seem to have gone.

Can you bring them back??

If you are in the UK Maplins do a very nice set up for about £40.00 that comes with 2 lights, a booth, background and a decant stand that will take most lightweight cameras. It struggles a bit with my Nikon D50 though and thats without a dedicated macro lens.

Sadly i cant post a link here as i am a new member but have a look on their website or PM me and ill send you a link.

Absolutely correct. PL tube bulb is considerably an energy saving bulb, I suggest you try to search by using the google website. Regarding light boxes for photobooth, I guess you can seek a free site providing free downloads.
