I've seen in some Galleries that people have four or five different shots of differinf angles of the same model.

How on earth do you do that ?

Im using Photoimpact for my images. It has alsorts of stuff on it I can't get to grips with so I don't know if its capable of doing the above or not.

Do you mean: How to upload 4 pictures?

or: How do you get 4 angle-pictures into one picture?

I would say both, but that would be two questions and end up confusing.

So for starters the four angles in one photo

I think they use a photo editing program like Photoshop.

I take all the shots against white paper. The white background is easy to remove in a photo-editing application like Gimp or Photoshop that allows selecting areas of the photo based on colour. The magic wand is a good tool in those apps for doing the trick.

After you have gotten rid of the background, you can copy (Edit -> Copy) several shots into one picture (Edit -> Paste). A photo editing program that supports layers is a great help in this because you can freely arrange the positions of the photos any time you want to.

This is one general approach to the problem. I don't use Photoimpact myself so I can't give specific instructions, but good starting points in the help or manual might be 'select', 'wand' and 'copy'.

Thats fantastic Valpas. Thanks alot. I've had a play about and I think I can get the hang of it.
I have managed to get little segments of photos included onto a main photo. Like what MacG did for me on my Haradrim paint guide, so I will keep playing and see how I do.

An easy way to get several photos into one is use picasa to make a collage. It's free to download from Google and you can easily put together several images, though it probably won't be as good as what you can do on other programs. That is how I made the images in my gallery. Hope this helped.

Well I keep trying but being a computor illiterate I have almost given up.

I've downloaded Gimp 2.6.7 as I needed to buy the full version of Photoimpact and I'm as tight as...

However I can't get to grips with it. Nothing makes much sense to me.

If anyone can offer some sort of idiot guide I would be eternally grateful.

Paintshop Pro is available at a reduced price and can do everything Photoshop can (or everything most people would want to do with photoshop) at a fraction of the price.

I use Photoshop to get this effect:

Image

You simply import images in to the one document then resize them so they all fit inside the one frame and then save them as one image.

Another alternative is simply Powerpoint. You can import the images, resize them, place them one above the other or side by side, then simply right click, go to grouping, click group and then all the images are combined.

You can the click on the now grouped image and say save as image. Save it to a location where you can find it and there it will be saves as one image.

Hope this helps,

KJ
