Does anyone know of an image hosting site that isn't loaded with horrible spammy ads? I want to upload photos again, but dread the thought of returning to photobucket.

Well you need a google account. There are no ads I have noticed. I have started to create some albums and upload pics. This is my first go at linking a pictures

Not as easy to link to the image as photo bucket.
I had to go to the album, then click on the photo to enlarge it, then right click on the photo and select copy image address

I've used PostImage for years with no issues, it's quite user-friendly.

https://postimage.io/

While I imagine ads is something most free image hosting sites have, I can't compare the ads on PostImage to those on other sites (I use an ad blocker so they've never bothered me)

It's my intention to start a WIP and post a bit more on here as I'm always lurking. This seemed like the right place to make sure I can actually post a photo, just testing.

Hopefully that's worked!

Hmmm. So two tries and it doesn't seem to be working for me. Does anybody else use google photos from there phone? I'm on an iPhone.

I selected 'create link', and pasted it between the and it just said 'image' on here.

The attempt above is the same but without the htttp etc at the start. Don't know why I thought hat might make a difference...

The create link just creates a URL to the photo album not the photo. I only managed to do it on my iMac by right clicking on the image and selecting copy image address. Which won't work on a phone or tablet i think

I've always used photobucket without issue. The ads are annoying but I only use it to post here so not much of an issue for me.

The ads are more than just annoying for me - they are horrible virus-y things which make it impossible for me to click on a photo so I can copy the link without getting caught.

I switched to Flickr a while back. It's been okay, but I'm not sold on it yet.

I've used Dropbox for a long time. They've recently changed things so you can't share in the same way but I think it does still work.

If you choose to share an image and then select create link you can copy a link to the image. To make show up though you need to add &raw=1 to the end of the link you paste between . Hopefully you should see it working below (please let me know if you can't see it).

The full site imgur is ridiculously simple to use. That's what I've been using. The mobile app version isn't quite as good though.
