thanks very much IM A ENT these sites all look helpful. as for water i might just go with the pva glue appraoch as i have used it before on cavalry bases and it was quite effective! in the meantime i might draw up two seperate plans one for SBG on one for Wotr i like both so id quite like to have a board that i could use for both, i might try to make the buildings so that you can remove them whenever you like to play wotr. sharpen pencils and get some paper this could take a while :)

No worries, glad to help im happy that someone find them useful instead of just staying in the thread and not being used.

i just think that if someone is giving me their opinion then i should defintely take it into account :) . and i had a nice SBG game with a friend where my gondorians had to protect the ruins the game was good but i dont really have enough of the ruins to make the fighting really close quarter, the ruins just act like the walls of a building :(

hey elessar. If you still looking to expand on your Osgiliath terrain I can help you out a little. I'll write more in detail what I did for my Osgiliath ruins project which I'm working on at the moment. For your board I've also previously attempted making a board. Thirdly for your bridge idea, thought I'd post this picture to give you some inspiration.

Glad you like my bridge. It has two removable spans and has been 'distressed' to show siege damage (treb strikes etc.). The whole thing is modular and the Main gatehouse doubles as the main gate for my 'Rammas Echor' installation. I have additional flanking pieces which connect to a wall walk.
I intend having scenic boards on either side modelling ruins and waterfront... t.b.c.

I use these Gothic building kits to make my own ruins. To my mind, these kits can represent ruins in both Minas Tirith and Osgiliath.
With the right paint job, they will do very nicely.
Remember, you are making ruins, not completed buildings. You are free to
experiment by cutting up walls and structures, so you can make just about any type ruin that you may wish.
I have not gotten around to it yet, but I did pick up several kits very cheaply
through second hand sources. Check them out.

It's been a while since I posted. King Elessar 2615, how's the project going...?
When making set piece terrain items it is good to build in some modular or multifunctional designs for gaming different scenarios. As well as battle damage, the bridge has been designed with 'broken' removable sections.
