Hi all,

Just asked the same question over on the GBHL FB page but I know there are some peeps on here who don't frequent the FB page.

I'm looking to make some of the dwarf mirrors from the khazad dum sourcebook. No idea how to make them though. Any help would be appreciated.

One idea already suggested would be to use the old hexagonal paint pots, fill it in with clay/ putty then paint it silver.

If you have a China Town in proximity to you that is where I would go.
They sell small hex framed mirrors to put around the house.
These mirrors do wonders to repel evil spirits.
When spirits glimpse their reflection, they scare themselves away..., I think.
Been working around my place for years.

I vaguely remember the article.
My question would be do you want them to look like something someone has already made or a new design?
I would look through the jewelry department of the craft store and find something with dragons that might work. The mirror would have to follow the sun from east to west.
The simplest way would be to make a green stuff frame for a small craft mirror.Mount it on a frame made from craft sticks.

I use these for accessories for doll houses. There are all kinds of things like thor hammers and dragons in the jewelry section.

this makes a nice press mold even though it is designed for Modge Melts.

We think we may have cracked it over on the fb page. There was another angle in the sourcebook and the mirror looks very much like an upside down dwarf well from the MoM set.

Depending how good of a saw you have.... You could get a hex nut cap from the hardware store and cut off most of the threads - get a brass one that might be easier to cut. Might be too much of a concave area though.

Easier approach would be find a frame of the size you want, hex nut for example, cover with foil and press in the middle with a marble or bb or any round object to the depth you want.

Just some random ideas.
