Terrible to hear about your father, I hope he gets better! Thank you for your input in this website too. I think I speak for all of us if I say that you gave us all a home when it comes to an online community. Good luck to our new admins too. Thanks everyone for your good will and warm thoughts. Unfortunately my father lost his battle and succumbed to his cancer on Wednesday. He died in his sleep, surrounded by his family. |

Dagorlad, I barely know you but wanted to say you have my deep sympathy. Losing a parent is a hard thing, for you never want to let them go. I know this myself, for I lost mine eight years ago. I wish you strength for the upcoming period. |

Thanks everyone. It's been an incredibly tough year since his diagnosis and, even though we knew it was coming, it was still an unbelievable shock for everyone in the family when he died. My mother has lost her partner and best friend of over 60 years. My brother, my two sisters and I have lost our father, a man who has been there for us all of our lives. I miss him and I thank him for sharing with me his love of modelling. He was a regular visitor here (user name Regnar) but rarely posted in the forums. He would look in my gallery mostly to see what new models I had posted, but sadly, I haven't done much at all that I could post here lately. I shall have to remedy that. |

Alan Having lost my own dad I know the pain you are going through, no words can every ease the hurt and to that extent I will not even attempt. My thought is, as he was a keen modeller, is there something he never did that you could do as a remembrance piece for him ? His one goal that you could do to take pride of place in your cabinet. |
