In your opinion, is it possible to use this Fate to change a roll of the Hard to Kill table (e.g., to turn an enemy rolled '6' into a '5', so saving your beast)? It is the enemy formation that scored the hits to roll on the table, isn't it?

Yes. Think Of Curse of Morgoth as 'Reverse' Might Point.

So You can quite happily turn a 6 on the hard to kill table into a 5.

Though the text of the rule says you can change the result of a roll made by an enemy formation. Which means if a monstrous hero is injured in a Heroic Duel, you cannot use Curse of Morgoth to affect the enemy hero's result.

Also brings an interesting interaction with the Extremely Hard to kill tables. On those on a natural 6 the attacker gets to make an additional roll. In this case if a formation rolls a natural 6 on the table, and you use Curse of Morgoth to alter the result to a 5, then Both effects occur. The die roll is treated as value 5, but as a natural 6 was rolled they still get to make an additional roll.

This is the same as using Might. You can turn a 5 into a 6 when rolling, using Might on the EH2K! table, but because it isn't a 'natural 6' you don't get an additional roll.

Thank you, Daersalon. It might sound incredible, but a guy here in Italy is organizing a WotR tournament to occurr in September. I won't miss it, if he succeed in the plan.

By the way, I've found an overpower combination for Dwarves:

- Dain;
- Gimli;
- Khazad guards.

In a fight, a hero declares Epic Rage and the other Epic Rampage. Thus your khazad are S 9 and this means that an enemy formation with D 7 is hit with 2+, and that you reroll all dice until only 1s are obtained.

8 attacks + 2 supports = on average 45 casualties!!! Up t 4 times in a game.

I'm not going to use this - but my lesser son could...!
