My vote is for the gentleman who painted up the dappled horse--I think that was Goblin Town Crier. If I can recall, his painting has improved markedly since his first attempts and there are some techniques there I'd like to try myself.

great job everyone.. some really good entries and close competition..

in the end I went with PowerofWill because of the unusual (and amazingly delivered) painting scheme and superb base!

best luck to all :)

Tie between Eomer and the Troll, but I thought the exceptional shading and blood accents put it a little higher... Everyone did wonderful, though!

Went in with PowerofWill's captain, because of the work he put into the base. And also paint job is very clean. Perhaps maybe there should be a bit lighter photos?

Agreed. And paint job was really nice. Just not sure how I feel about the blue and yellow... Doesn't seem very Rohan-y.

Perhaps check and see of you have your brightness turned all the way up. When i take and edit photos I always have the brightness turned up, so if it's not they definitely look a bit dark.

That's because it's not intended to be Rohany :) I understand if you don't like it, it is very different, and i know not everyone is a fan of the color combo in general.

Thanks for all the voted everyone! I really appreciate it! My own vote went to Joshuar_au, I really like how you painted the skin, and the blood splatters are well done.

Well done klemzy on your win! Superb entry - you should have a go at The Three Trolls next!

PoW, I actually really like the Blue and Yellow, I think it gives you endless opportunity for how you want to paint the army. I find myself always falling back to the movie portrayals. However, if you look behind Theoden's throne in the movies there are some banners with different heraldry and one is blue and gold...

Did checked on my computer - on computer screen the photos does look brighter. Still, I would go a bit brighter - but that is just a personal opinion. :)
