Hey guys.

So, the island of blood are incoming and as the warhammer player I am.. I could'nt be more excited.

I'm gonna share the box with my brother and take the skaven part.
I dont like skaven actually, but some days ago I got an idea...
I'm gonna make my skavens into to coolhearted empire killers, I mean like heads on their spear and empire equipment all over.
I have done some thinking and done a Word document full of things I'm going to do! All from Clan Logo to painting schemes and history about the clan. Nerd? Absolutely :D

So this topic is to show all you guys how it's turning out.
Hopefully you can give me som advice and so on.
I'm planning to start a blog or something likely too.
I have'nt published any pictures on OR for almost a year, but I think I've improved my painting pretty much lately.

So right now I liked to hear from you what you think, advice and so on!

Hi, today I was at Games Workshop and since they were out of stoh with almost everything I wanted I bought some skaven instead.

So I bought a box of clan rats and Death master snikch.
Snickh is the coolest model in the skaven army and he is pretty dangerous too I've realized in several games against skaven players.
So that's a model I had to buy sooner or later.

So now I've undercoated them white and assembled them.
I want them white so they can have a light red as the main colour but I guess I have to paint really much black on them too.

You can follow the progress in more detail at http://www.skavenproject2010.blogspot.com

So started painting the clanrats the other day and I am pretty happy at least with the start of some miniatures.

I've undercoated all of them with skull white and I've based all the bases with sand and painted it black -> grey drybrush (not on the pictures though)

So, all miniatures have pink clothed painted only with mixes of skull white and blodd red.
The skin is: Bestial Brown and highlight of Snakebite Leather and then a final highlight of Dessert Yellow.

Armour is only Boltgun metal and a wash of badab black.

So the models are painted pretty easy and not very hard to do, I've put broken empire shields on the finished models and I will do other conversions then the whole unit is done.

The pictures are at my blog!!

Skaven is a perplexing army, all these rat ogres lol. Great job on them. I love bretonnians and High elves myself.

You gonna buy the island of blood set?

Yes, I'm goin' to buy Island of blood. I started to plan the army then the skaven and high elves were confirmed.

(actully it's clanrats, not rag ogres :) )

Agree I really like them but I think that painting your base rims black looks much better.
