Indeed.

Stop painting during night, keep painting the next afternoon and mixes are still there ready, how cool is that?

Another cool thing : High elves.

Wet pallete is the only way to go. Lovely elves, very neat. I'd give them just one more shade darker in the deepest recesses of the blue cloaks though

Well... but it's so easy and fast to paint with an airbrush...I have been seduced by the dark power :sauron:

In my defence I will say I polish the colour with the brush like I have always done.

That's exactly what I'm trying, to be as neat as I can :-D

I may give it a try to your darker shadows.

Project Isengard is going good.

Last week I made some purchases:

Uruk captain (the one with the cool helmet)

Uruk banner (the one without sword)

And just today:

3 Berserkers
1 Uruk shaman

This is how it's looking now:

Image

Paint the entire model with leadbelcher using an airbrush and low pressure. Once dried, wash with badal black. How cool is that? :

Image

I'm pretty obsessed with the miniature faces. I have been stripping miniatures just beause I didn't like the faces. It's the faces who bring miniatures to life...

Image

So, you know, next time, give them some attention boys!

little tricks like offsetting the eyes can make a big difference as you have shown. In fact it can be a general rule to try to do something other than a straight on look.

Perfectionist painting skills. I agree about faces bringing a model to life and making it 'pop'. I try my best, but I'm just proud when I get the eyes close enough haha. Keep up the good work.

I'm sorry I don't update my WIP more often, but I'm getting REALLY busy with my job.

I have had time to paint only two more miniatures. My Isengard army is growing slowly, but growing. Luckily, I could paint it 100% this year, at least I hope so.

So, more pics, and less words :-D

Image

The banner is hot... It took a lot of time though.

Image

Let's take a look closer to the berserker!

Image

I received some wargs reinforcements this morning. Great stuff you can get on eBay. I will be painting this next, so stay tuned.
