I uploaded these on GBHL FB page the other day. I hope I'll finish them soon after my holidays.

Looking very good, even in the washed out flash - I particularly like the rider far left with mace. Inspiring stuff :)

they are indeed good looking fellows (for orcs, that is!). Well done!

Thank you guys, I hope you like them as a finished lot.

...and another batch of hunter orcs was finished. Now , on to another project. I'll re-photograph them for the eBay auction that they are heading and I'll update the thread with some new photos. Meanwhile, I struggle with the painting of Beorn's base.
Also, I'm going to start quite a few Khazad guards today. What colour scheme should I choose? Any suggestions?

I like the variety of skin colours you've used along with the basing as it really finishes them off.

Awesome work. I really like all the colors, the dark blue especially so.

Thank you guys!

I was itching to update the thread for a few weeks now, but I didn't have the opportunity to get my latest projects photographed properly for quite a long time now, but all this is in the past.

So, here are some of my latest works.
First, the Hunter Orcs which are heading for eBay.

...and here is a Mordor Troll that was finished ages ago, but only recently finished the base which was designed and handcrafted by my good friend Rififivos (username/member of the forum also), so this one is also for the business.

Image

Image

Last (for this update at least), but not least, these 24 warriors were given out to another good friend, Dimitris to start painting them for one of my best friends' and my own collection. Since we got them back, we did some refinements on them, especially on their faces/skin and on some of the rest of the models' parts to make them more suitable for our taste and mainly to make them blend in a bit better with the rest of our Fallen Realms' armies.
We made their bases, too, which wasn't an easy task, mainly because we couldn't decide what would be the best decor for them. Anyway, we went for something very plain, from their pillaging times in the stony shores and harbours from Pelargir.

Stay tuned for the pictures of their commanders and Dalamyr's, too.

Nice smooth painting as always! I really like the brown/red leather arm and shoulder pads on the hunter orcs :)
The only tiny thing I'm not quiet fond of is the look of the corsairs. I think the colours you choose are fitting them very well, but they look a little to clean to be pillaging pirates to me... Unless they invaded the bathhouses of Pelargir as well :-D

Hahaha, you're right Machiel. As noted in the post, we painted only the details on those, in order to make them a bit better, yes they are too clean. I guess the Bo'sun's first and main order is to "stay clean at all costs"!

Hahaha, that must be it

And I should really start reading a post instead of only looking at the pictures

Really like the style of your minis.

Your corsairs are looking great. I think you tie together your forces very well with the bases they're presented on.

thanks guys. I wish I had the captains', the Bo'suns' and Dalamyr's bases ready so as to update you more properly on the Corsairs force.

Instead, some WiP photos of my favorite orcs, Orc Hunters. Part of one of the recent commissions I've received is a box of Hunter Orcs on foot and I didn't lose the chance to get busy with them. On the plus side, I put the first 12 of my own to work all 24 of them together.
I paint them per fours, as I can focus better on their detail. In that way I don't get discouraged by their numbers, since I finish some every couple of days.
So, here are some of the first to be almost finished (some more work/tattoos on their skins) with my crappy phone camera, sorry for the use of flash. There will be better, as always, when the project will be done.

4 more are already very close to be finished! :D

Excellent work on those orc hunters. 8) What plans do you have for the bases?

Half of them , that are mine will have to wait for the whole Force to be finished, the mounted troops, the fell wargs and the heroes alike. I'm orientating to micro art' s shale bases but not very sure yet.
Any suggestions Wah Wing?

As for the other 12, the client has asked to do the basing alone, so I'll wait for his update as soon as he completes them. :)

I like to do all of my bases the same, even if the models are from different armies. So, instead of having desert bases for Harad fighting lush green bases of elves on a snowy board from Arnor, they are all black and uniform, highlighted up to Skull white with some static grass and flock. And when I finally get to painting it, my gaming board will have the same color theme so everything fits together and the model bases and terrain don't look out of place.

For your orc hunters, I would do something similar to the mounted ones you showed before.

Hope this helps in any way. 8)

Hey ya all!!
It's been a while since my last post, here, I know, but I haven't been idle.
Some bulky commissions among other things, but I'm happy to show you 5 out of my 6 Abrakhan Guards that were finished in a couple of days' spare time.

Image

Image

So, my Golden King will have some serious protection.
(as long as he keeps spreading around some $$)

Image

Now, I have to pin the last one's sword and get him painted ASAP.

These were sold a few weeks ago, I was kind of sad to see them go, but most probably I'll be more motivated to paint the rest 24(+1 captain) that I got, what do you guys think of their clothing? Any suggestions for a better color combination?

Love what you've done with the Guard and Golden King, could use them in so many other games.

wow, i love those guards. The way your colors go together fits the haradhrim much better than the GW painted ones.
