I don't think I'll have any money till the last of April, but I surely want one of these beauties :) would it be possible to reserve a mini (mini might not be the right word in this case! ;) ) till the beginning of may?

Cheers,

André :)

Ooh! I can't wait till it's time to go homewards again :) The thought only of the possibility of a birch tree could be on my doorstep is making me nervous already :)

Nice info Dag, it makes me wanna stop working, act like I'm sick (well, don't need to act actually...) and find a box at home :)

Mine is on my desk for a few days already - but Dave knows how I think about it. 8)

Still, a reply in this thread to say three things!

- Soon, you'll be able to acces this talented man his very own website & shop!
- If you can get one of these Tree Giants - just do it!
- Start saving some extra money, more is about to come...

This thread astounds me, congrats man; good job.

I need to save up now. I was never into ents, but your sculpture has character and is very unique.

Hmm, initial reviews are good then?

I'm glad to see they are starting to get through.

If it's any help, delivery times are generally as follows:

UK - 2-3 days
EU - 4-8 days
Everywhere else - 7-10 days

Work on a Linden Tree Giant is underway.

I am very keen to see your Rowan Tree Giant too. I'd like to have about three 'tree giants' in my collection, but I think I'll have to sculpt my own Treebeard since the one from GW is a little boring in its pose.

Just a word of advice Dave; make the Rowan Tree Giant significantly different from the Weta designs otherwise you might get a visit from New Line's corporate vultures.

right my short review on the assembley as i just finished making him :-) !!

if you follow the instructions on where all the bits go, he goes
together 99% perfect the only bit i couldent work out how it fitted
was the dark green branch at the top of the instructions, i advise you do this bit 1st after mounting him on his base..

other than that hes only going to need 2 very small gaps filling with GS one on the shoulder and one on a branch on his back with is brilliant for
a mini his size.

also i had a spare 60mm troll base laying around and the metal base of
the fellow sits perfectly on the top, just sets it off nicely.

PAINTING STARTS TOMORROW ! ! ! !

and no tim im using black undercoat LOL

Alan, I have taken onboard your comments about future Tree giant variants. For the time being, I have put them aside for now. I am going to begin work on my Burly Woodsman and Angry Bear models instead.
