| Post subject: | 4x4 table for scenarios |
does anyone have any advice for playing the core scenarios on 4x4 instead of 6x4? And what are peoples opinions on playing on the smaller tables? do the scenarios still work well? from reading the rulebook the only that looks like it will be largely affected would be domination, but others opinions and advice is appreciated. |

I regularly play on like a 2x4 and it works fine. Hurts cavalry (which we don't play anyway). 4x4 should be totally okay. |

I think it would be fine. Most of the tournaments I have been to use 4x4 and they seem to get on well enough. Reconnoiter is also effected a bit since there is less board space to protect up if your not playing large point games you won't really notice. Most everything else devolves into a slap fight mid field anyhow which doesn't suffer much either way. |

Thanks for the replies. I'll be playing my first game with the hobbit rules rather than the lord of the rings rules tomorrow so I'll see how it goes. We are only doing 250pts to start with hopefully my battlefield will scale up for bigger fights. |

As far as I'm away, tournament sized boards are still 4x4. And the way most scenarios devolve is a heated combat taking place in an area less then 1x1. |
