Great so see anyone willing to tackle a double sculpt - horse and Rider! Well done! The only thing I would change is adding some grit or small stones and sparse vegetation to the base - it looks a wee bit bare to me (just my opinion). |

Ty for the comments all of u! there will be some more on the base yes do not fear - this was only the paint work. I always do the bases afterwards. I start of with varnishing first b4 i get to basing my figures. I use a spraycan and wait till i have quite some painted b4 i do so. Just varnished a second layer this morning, i am going to need some of the rohan fellows soon for a battle. Painting up the 4 riders to for that. Depending on how fast i move on (and other factors like maybe visiting friends) i might paint the last 4 remaining mini's of my stash to. |

I love the wraith! It has a very evil and sinister look to it that comes both from the sculpt and painting. |

My older terrain is ok but it was really built out of junky leftovers from stuff. I also want something really diorama like quality and practical for gaming and storage. Slowly gathering materials for this. Easy pace now.. going to take my time for it. I am looking forward to it. |

Great work. Any chance of a guide to how you do the bow strings? |

Ty old man willow, hope i will be able to spend some time on it soon. Harfoot, I don't think u need one for my way of making bowstrings.. I have seen couple of guys who made much better looking ones on a different way. But the way i do it, is the simple way (and maybe not as good looking). I just tie on some sewing thread... I mostly make more then one nod to make sure it won't losen up. Then i enstrenghten that with some woodglue. Leaving no traces of the glue and the string attached well. If there is a part of the bow (mostly the lower part) that can't be fixed with nods - because of the clothing or other stuff. I just cut the string far enough and glue it against the clothing... |
