Thanks guys!!

@ShadowOverArda: Like I mentioned before. I mostly use Fireforge Games, Gripping Beast and Wargames Factory parts.

Next group. I plan to finish the Army more or less this week and then really concentrate on the campaign.

My Gothmog/Agendaur, The Knight, Castellans of Carn Dum (count as Black Numenorians) and Buhrdur.

Yeti spotted!
These look great, but one recommendation I would most humbly give is that you might find a way of roughening up the shields a little, as the stand out a lot if they're just flat black. The sharpness of it sticks out and it doesn't really look like either wood or metal.

Really super cool stuff. Love all the creative conversions. Very inspiring.
Are the clansmen fire forge as well?

The clansmen are made out of french Napoleonic Old Guard/Grenadier miniatures. I had quite a lot of work cutting away the rifles and uniforms but I wanted them to have some kind of long skirts/kilts. The weapons and heads are Perry. The four archers are also Perry. Their leader is fireforge with some Warhammer parts. And lots of GS everywere. I'm not entirely happy with them but I'm running out of time.....

Some design notes:
I wanted them to be nearly unarmored exept a few helmets and chainmail sleves here and there. Only their chiefdain should be rich enough to afford armor. The weapons should be usable in day to day live so we can see mostly axes and hammers. Some men have primitive clubs and bills. The chiefdain is again the exeption. He still has his axe but he also has a sword at his side. But it's more of a sign of his status as chiefdain and again like his armor it shows his riches. He still preveres the heavy axe in combat.

Well you sure have a one of a kind army, clearly a lot of work has gone into it and it really has paid off for you :yay:

Incredible army, I bet you'll have great fun playing this campaign. Do I recognize the skull on the head of the shaman from the Goblin Town platforms? I did almost the same thing with my GT Shaman, though my conversion can't compare to yours at all.

Well done! :yay:

You have succeeded in creating a very personal and characterful collection! When they look at a gaming table, no one will think twice to point out this army! Your effort has certainly paid off with something you can be rightfully proud of. I really like your conversions, and your out-of-the-box creativity with this amazing project. So cool to see this army grow before our eyes!

Would love to see this force in action...

You could try giving a chipped metal effect on the shields with a piece of sponge. Very easy, very quick, and highly effective! Its a great method to subtely weather armour and add character to flat areas of painted metal, etc.

Hi Guys!

long time no see.....

Well I'm back. I've been working on a bunch of stuff over the last months outside my Angmar Army. (maybe i should open another thread?) But now I'm back on the Angmar hype train!!

First up I painted up 3 Winged Nazguls (my favs. The Witch King himself, The Knight of Umbar and Kahmul).

The Witch King is pretty standard. Only changed his Helmet and gave him the burning sword.

Image

For Khamul I made i conversion to make him look a bit like in the Hobbit movie (The scenes in Dol Guldur made me jump up and down in my seat (unfortunately the rest of the movie made me do the opposite) please GW release those awesome Wights!!). I also bent the Fellbeasts wings a bit.
And since I hadn't finished his version on foot I panted it in one swipe.

Image

The Knights Head is made out of GS, not entirely happy with it but it'll have to do. Now i notice the dust on the side of the Fellbeast .........

The Nazguls on fellbeast are very nice! Will you make a Hobbit Khamul on foot as well?

@orc-archer: I'm still hopefull that GW will release one, so I'm waiting for now.

I promised you my War Trolls.

I wanted them to fit into the army so just normal Mordor Trolls wouldn't do. So heavy conversions and similar paint scheme to my Cave Trolls and here we go:

I also made them stand more upright so they would not be that hunched over. And man they are big and intimidating :-D
