The freehand looks brilliant.

Excellent result, Feanorthenoldor! Also, this fgure and his colours are incredibly close to what I had in mind for Nargothrond soldiers!!
About the right hand defect, I suggest you to shape the green mold as a gauntlet, for a better result.

Thank you. Yeah, next time, I will simply super glue the hand to the arm, and then use the milliput to mold it together, instead of the other way around.

Also, Hurin_it, you can obviously use the pictures for your Silmarillion PDF

So I worked on some freehand. I quite like how this came out. I'm going to step away from this and now work on the mini itself. I'll come back to adding in more details to the shield later on.

Oh, and this heraldic piece represents the house of Fingon.

So I went back to the house of Fingon. I had some unfinished business to finish.

Changed the blue undercloth to a whiter color, that is the main difference.

Also did some freehand on the shield. Still working on making the freehand look better.

Excellent result, and the brightness of the steel is superb!
About colours, I personally prefer the white for Fingon's house, while light-blue like that of this figurine (along with red) for that of Feanor; but it's just a matter of tastes.

Looks good! The nmm is fantastic, and I really like the light blue. The freehand looks good too, how did you get your lines so straight? I always have a hard time keeping lines straight and consistent.

For the shield, I sketched out the design with a thicker drawing pencil. This definitely made it easier, but once painted, you can see the pencil through the paint. The consistency really matters as well. I used a 2:1 fluid aid: paint. You'll need a few coats, but it is much easier to correct sqwiggly lines w/ the basecolor.

Your thread and your comment on mine always has me pulling out my copy of The Silmarillion - and for that I thank you.

So i've been trying out different NMM gold recipes. I'm trying to find an appropriate gold color for the house of Feanor. These are the three different one's i've quickly painted up, just trying to get a rough idea.

Well they all look great as usual. I like the second one that's more brassy and feels ancient.

All three look good to me. I don't know much about Elven history so I have no idea which one would be more appropriate, but I do like the look of the last two a lot.

This army is fantastic already. An attention to detail to strive for. The colour schemes and heraldry gives the models more life.

Yeah, for Feanor's house, I actually tried out a different scheme. Pics will be coming soon.

@Karak. Thank you sir, but i wish I had an army, more like 6 painted test models

The third one looks better in my opinion.
Also, I suggest you to consider the light blue among the colours to use along with the feanorian red: they were still Noldor afer all, so the blue (remeber Fingolfin's blue flag) should appear somehow in their dress, I think.

Here is feanor's house. Really been enjoying this color scheme. I think I found the right armor recipe for the NMM gold as well
