Mantic have photos of the contents of each bag type and sprue so you can use those as a guide. Following a recommendation from one of the other backers, I got a load of small grip-lock/zip/lock bags (about 3 inch by 4 inch), sticky labels and went through ALL the minis.... it took me two days :)
The terrain sprues were ok other than 4 missing, and I had just 4 components missing from the figures which is not bad at all really.
And there is a new video update (number 126) on the Kickstarter updates.

Yep, I've printed the updates with the photos.

I think this will be a necessity! I'm going to do the same thing.

My single biggest concern is that I got caught up in the Kickstarter hype on this one and over-ordered things.... seriously, I don't know that I'll ever play with half of it! Add this on top of the other Kickstarters that I've been pldeging and waiting on.... its taking on epic proportions of overkill!

The terrain works well in any 28mm sci-fi or near future game setting so I intend to use it for Aliens versus Predators as well as Deadzone and probably Warpath. But not 40K as I am disposing of almost all of that stuff (fed up with nerfing and need the space for Middle-earth and other games).

We're doing the same for the terrain use along with Star Wars Minis and Doctor Who, very versatile stuff. We didn't check the exact amount of sprues but considering they filled a x6 Deadzone shipping box I think we'll be alright.

So the product is quite as overwhelming once you sit down and sort through the terrain... those terrain sprues are a bit overwhelming for sure. I think I'm going to clip them apart to make them more manageable.

The Atenociti's resin stuff is remarkable. Love it.

I've worked my way through about half of one of my boxed games and all the "extras" that were in the box. Only one error I can see is that I'm missing one of the little heads from one of the Rebs kits.

I have been toying with the pieces just to see how well they go together - actually managed to break a connector when pushing it into place with a bit too much enthusiasm - even though I have not lightly filed any of the slots (the X-shaped sections appear to need this as connectors reluctant to go in at all).
A wee image of a small landing pad and a fortified wall section.

A good start Dorth, we've yet to dip into the DZ box but I'd imagine I will be doing in the next few weeks.

For the uninitiated - Warren from Beasts of War and Jake Thornton (Quirkworthy and the designer of Deadzone) unboxed the core game set - it is over an hour long. Video available on BOW or Quirkworthy or Youtube:

Mega update 130 - images of stuff, some changes (not all of which are to my personal taste - materials, not sculpts) and more terrain options.

And for anyone who wants to see how good the game is, this is Beasts of War playing a very small, basic demo game (just over an hour including explaining rules as they go along). Worth a watch for anyone looking for a mechanically simple but tactically diverse game that is highly entertaining (especially the booby traps!)

Beasts of War and James M Hewitt (Mantic but moving to 'some other company in Nottingham') have done another video about setting up for a game of deadzone. What I like about this one is that it illustrates the many clever little mechanics that allow a simple ruleset to give great depth and variety. It shows in the design of the cards - so many things incorporated into such a simple thing. Worth a watch!
