Post subject:  Only allowed to play with Painted Models Project
Hi I have been into Wargaming for quite a while now but Im kinda sick of seeing those great pics in the magazines and having nothing like that !! lol ..... soooo I had the idea of doing a lotr SBG project using ONLY fully paintd and based Models and scenery and even the board .... as this rule is a bit strict we dont have alot yet but I thuoght I wuold post the project here for those that are interested .. I even put a light on the table when we play and have printed cards for the stats etc or certain characters .... any way ill try to work out how to post them as I am new to the forum ....

I totally agree with you; i reckon all models should be painted and based before playing, it makes the game so much better

well chill soul is on a 5+ and they started around 24-30 inches apart, also there is an upgrade on Legolas's Bow in the Deagnostni books for 20 points that lets you reroll a miss and its str 4 for 20 points .. which seems perhaps too good! .. but makes for a more film like Legolas imo ..It seems the necromancer wont die from being killed .. only from losing his W as he loses W for most things he does despite having 25

Still, Legolas only has 2 will, transfix/compelling him should be child's play.

thanks very much glad you lke them :) ....I think its the range of the necromancer spells of 12" aswel that got him, also when in a fight not only does the necromancer lose a W point at the end but he only has 1 attack that will wound on a 4+ and only 3 might so unless you get that wound he wont kill legolas and Legolas has 3 fate too! although he does instakill if he wounds you in h2h

with transfix and compel he still kinda needs to roll a 4+ to hurt him in combat ... got me thinking actually if he compels/transfixs legolas legolas can still use fate and will to resist cant he?

He can use his will to resist the spells and fate to resist wounds, no matter where the wounds come from. Yeah but necromancer has 25 will, use 2 dice on every transfix and legolas should lose combat pretty quickly...

thank you :) goodness themed terrain ! .. do you have lots of different gaming boards or do you like put the different scenery pieces on one sorta grassy board?

I use different scenery pieces on some sorta grassy boards and mats.
