The One Ring 'Best Of' Awards [NOMINATIONS]

As you may or may not know, today marks the 10th anniversary of the official launch of the One Ring. To celebrate this we will have a few different things going on this month.

The first of which will be the One Ring 'Best Of' Members Vote.

This is for you to decide who or what makes this website what it is. It is essentially a bit of fun for which there will be prizes.

In this thread we will be looking for nominations for each of the following categories. Only one nomination per category per user, you can't nominate yourself and no cheating...

Try and keep nominations varied, rather than simply nominating the same people other people have nominated.

This thread is open for nominations until the end of January 18th at which point I will kick off the official voting to find our category winners.

In the next post there is a nice clean list of the Categories.

Just quote that post and fill in the names you want making sure that you keep inside the quote code. Please try to nominate for each category where possible.

It wouldn't be a celebration without prizes now would it?

Should you be named the 'best' in category (the recipient of the prize for 'Best Thread' will be the author of the winning thread) you will receive:

*To celebrate the 10th Birthday of the One Ring there will be a re-release of our beloved custom One Ring dice sets, only available to purchase in Blue and Red colour. These are priced at £5 a set and all proceeds go toward the upkeep and betterment of the One Ring. More details to follow.

Ditto all of the above save I would put DMS as the best painter, I've never seen anyone with his skill level at his craft when it comes to painting miniatures. I don't have a nomination for every category. I don't want to run around trying to find something just for the sake of filling a form, as I think it's unfair on people who have a better handle on those topics than I do. I hope that's ok. Haven't been active here to give an informed opinion on most of these, but for both -Best Battle Reporter as well as -Most Helpful Member I would like to simply nominate the GBHL channel team (just Thermo wouldn't quite cover it). The batreps are self-explanatory, and their enthusiasm is likely responsible for re-igniting the hobby-flame in many a veterans heart, and hopefully having some new ones join is as well. Inspiration, motivation and new members are what keep the community alive, and if that doesn't count as helpful, I don't know what does.

The Bag End thread made the difference. I also liked Celevue's campaign thread. He has been very helpful to me with advice and suggestions. He also is a out standing model maker.
