This may not be in the right spot but I wanted to give the opportunity for people to thank those who have nominated / voted for them. They can add their thanks in this thread, but firstly to myself;
I have been humbled by those who have nominated / voted or mentioned me toward awards. There are some magnificent painters and modellers on this forum and to be at times ranked along side them is mighty praise indeed.
As somebody who can only give an hour here and there to this hobby I am delighted to think people regard my contribution and work so highly.
So my thanks to all of you and I will continue to do my bit and help those whoever want it.

Well I for one would love to jump in on this and say thanks for the nominations and votes. I wasnt expecting any but I'm thrilled that I was voted for/nominated. Definitely brightened my day multiple times lol

To anyone who nominated me, voted for me, committed electoral fraud on my behalf or even mentioned me in passing, I can only thank you profusely, and ask that you refrain from operating heavy machinery, handling sharp or pointed tools or driving, until you have seen a doctor and a psychiatrist, because you cannot possibly be feeling well :)
I also want to thank DMS for inspiring me to vote for him as my choice for the funniest poster. :P :P

I've just noticed my nominations too and just glad to be a part of this wonderful and positive community which motivated me to start the hobby in the first place. Chuffed my contributions are appreciated, as I appreciate the contribution of most in this fine forum :)

A good idea this. Thank you to everyone who put me forward. I've been fortunate enough to have been into SBG since it's conception which has provided the time to gain the experience which I guess helped put me in good stead in the nomination/voting process :)

Great idea for a thread Gandlaf.

I would like to say a MASSIVE thanks to anyone and everyone who has nominated and voted for me, I was very surprised to receive this level of support and it means an awful lot. I love this forum and enjoy coming on here and contributing so knowing that my witterings are appreciated by the community is very gratifying indeed. Thank-you all again and good luck to all the nominees.

Just discovered the 'Best of' for the first time (I have to say I'm just looking in the WiP-Area, for the rest my English is too bad...) as I have seen that there are some names purple... :oops: So I am even more surprised that I have been nominated and got some votes, although I think that UK Freddy Bear is really the better one, IMO actually the best active sculptor on One Ring (eBob and Natarn are great as well) so the result is more than right! :yay: Congratulations to all the other winners as well!

I'll try to look out for another 'Best of' to be able to nominate and vote for other people, too...

I'll join the others in saying my thanks for all who nominated and voted for me, as well as congratulate the winners. Me and my friend are happy that our campaign has received so much positive interest and great comments - we must have done something right given the fantastic amount of votes in the best thread category! We do assure you that it gets even better - instead of festering, stinking marshland (or, you do actually get that, too) there will be some truly epic battles coming up!

It is a great comfort to know that there are so many people you can ask for advice, guidance and inspiration, on matters of Middle-earth and many other gaming/miniatures and terrain making subjects.
Why you lot put up with me, I will never know... but thanks.
