@KJ - the world is changing, I can feel it in the earth...

It'll grow on you mate (I hope).

I still need to fix the graphics for earlier versions of IE and sort out the Admin pages, but they will take me a good while to do so they'll have to wait until the weekend. I have a backlog of Uruk-hai that need my paint brush now, otherwise Gaarew will have strong words to say to me!

I noticed that some avatars for the articles were malfunctioning when I scrolled through the library, like Dave's birch tree article.

That's an ImageShack issue, not ours. Although I am not sure why icons for our library are being stored on ImageShack to be honest - seems a bit pointless when we have the facility for uploading images here ourselves.

Bah! It would have to be one of mine wouldn't it. :-X

Why are all the icons stored on imageshack, when all the actual article pics are on one-ring? Is that a default thing?

It can't be anything that I did - I've never used imageshack in my life.

I guess this is my fault

The 'Thumbnail' entry is always left 'empty' by the arthors !!!

I seem to be the only one who finally uploads an artical when submitted and to take away the burden of images being hosted on OR, I always use Imageshack.

It is rare for images to be deleted by Imageshack, but this just shows that it does happen from time to time.

Its a simple matter of replacing the thumbnail, however with the set-up we have, If I do that, it would automatically send an old article right back to the top of the list, therefore I need to converse with Alan on how to resolve this issue.

I'm not sure who Arthor is. Didn't he pull out a sword from a stone somewhere? I was however the sole author :P

P.S. I don't mind if you want to put my old article back at the top again.

Actually, there is no thumbnail option like there used to be when writing an article. Admin must have taken it away? Maybe it's time to update that article of yours Brian

I don't get that option either

The original idea was to have the thumbnail 100 pixels wide exacty, that way they all line up in the index. It seemed a lot to ask people to make sure they got right, so I figured the proofreaders could do it themselves. But I've noticed a few are narrower than that and one or two are wider, so I think the requirement wasn't really made clear (my fault) and things have slipped a bit.

I'll be redesigning the article system over the weekend so I'll look into that issue.
