So this time last year myself and a couple other users tried to get an rpg thread going, it went alright until summer started and we all went back to college/uni and that kinda brought the entire process to a halt, i was just wondering if anyone would be up for trying this again, if so, post here, the last one was fun while it lasted and the literal skill of some of our users was very impressive, it made for some impressive reading (some of the time :p). If your up for it we'll need an idea for a 'quest' to embark on, last time it was something along the lines of delivering a message to Biblo warning him that Dain had been approached by dark riders asking about 'baggins' or something along those lines; so preferably this years quest could be something altogether different yes? |

Hmm, I would be interested in RPG again, but I'm not quite sure why we have to forget the other one. Anyway, I'm up for it again. |

Things got a bit confusing and convoluted. The whole fallout with the Hilbert bros really put a downer on the whole thing for me. If we start again then i'm sure everything could be a bit better explained to everyone. Also i cannot remember for the life of me where i planned on leading you xD |

Sure thing, but i think we should wait for more people to join before deciding anything. Everyone else feel free to pitch ideas, tbh i don't mind what we do, aslong as it's all a good lol. |

I think the current thread is a bit intimidating to attempt joining at such a high page count, but I'd be interested in joining something new! I'm a seasoned RPer (been at it about five years, lol) and I'm in the middle of a novel at the moment, so it'd be good to excercise the old brain in other areas. |

how about we make a seperate thread for a really, really dulled down version of the story so far for those that want to join in but not read 500 pages of posts? New story line could take place sometime during the first age, maybe even as early as the departure from Valinor (depending on what races people would want to play). Might be a bit of a struggle for those that don't know the entire cannon, but nothing a little reading or browsing couldn't solve. I'm up for whatever the group decides though. |

That'd alienate people, me included. Keep it Third Age.

how about sixth age?  storyline: new bad buy invents guns and the heroes of middle earth assemble to stop him joking aside, i think 3rd age is probaly best |
